Lion's Pride Competition Team
WSAMA
Competition Team 2006
Competition Team Seasons:
- Spring Mar to June
- Fall Aug to Nov
- Off- Season July, Dec, Jan & Feb
Team coaches will help train and support competition team members for four (4) designated tournaments during the spring season and three (2) designated tournaments during the fall season. Participation in additional tournaments is encouraged but not required. Please note: coaches may not be available or present during non-team supported tournaments.
Team Dues:
Team dues will remain $15 per month. Funds will be used for the benefit of the team members and coaches (i.e. videos, seminars, uniforms, shields, pads, cost of facility use, trophies and unexpected expenses). We may have fundraising events to defer costs of tournaments requiring distance traveling, overnight stays, and/or above-expected registration fees. Veterans of the Competition Team can trade up their uniforms for larger sizes.
Practice Times:
- Tues 7 8pm
- Off-Season Training
Continue to attend regular JSD Martial Art and Sparring Classes.
Awards:
Members who maintain participation throughout one or both seasons will receive a participation trophy during WSAMAs Holiday Banquet. As an additional incentive, a framed Certificate of Merit will be awarded to team members who attend all Competition Team practices.
